Happy Birthday!

April 13, 2012 By: fohblogcreative Category: Music, Uncategorized

Today is legendary soul singer Al Green’s 66th birthday. Named one of Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” , the nomination simply stated that “people are born to do certain things, and Al was born to make us smile.”  The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inducted Green in 1995, referring to him as “one of the most gifted purveyors of soul music.” Not too shabby!  With more than 20 million records sold and numerous hits, we’re celebrating both his birthday and incredible music with a greatest hits montage at the office. Here’s one of our favorites!

Countdown to Coachella

April 09, 2012 By: fohblogcreative Category: Fashion & Beauty, Music, Trend Alert, Uncategorized

Commence freaking out–the final countdown to Coachella has begun! With t-minus 3 days and a handful of hours to go, last minute packing, outfit changes and some good old-fashioned chaos is to be expected.

Celebs like Vanessa Hudgens, Katy Perry, Ke$ha and of course, festival-goddess Kate Bosworth have taught us that Coachella fashion is all about short shorts, barely there tops, a little crochet and lace and a whole lot of chic! Here’s some last minute pieces to help you look your very best.

Make a statement in flowing dresses, wild cutouts and cropped silhouettes. Don’t forget to pack a racy little number for when the sun goes down. Just because it’s dark doesn’t mean the fashion-forward take a breather!

Head to your nearest store or to fredericks.com to check out our lingerie pieces that work great as outerwear and lightweight rompers that double as stylish tops to keep you cool (gorgeous paired with our new denim shorts!). We also have a great selection of lightweight dresses and tops to choose from, for those looking for a little more coverage! Need help planning your festival itinerary? “We did it in Los Angeles…. so I can walk up and down Hollywood Boulevard. We even pass the Frederick’s of Hollywood store because I do mention that in the song…So at the end of the scene, I would go into Frederick’s. They were so nice to let us use the store, and it’s just a holding tank. I found everything in the world in there. I love Frederick’s anyway. I’ve been shopping from there for years.”
