Guest Blogger: The Beautiful Things
Welcome back to our guest blogger series! This month we’re featuring Vittoria Giuseppa, author of “The Beautiful Things“. Her blog is a treasure trove of fashion, food, shopping, celebrity style, and so much more. We’ve spent hours scrolling through this fashionable New Yorker’s photos and have come down with a serious case of style-envy! Read on to learn more about our newest sartorial crush.
What do you do for a day job?
When I’m not blogging, I’m an art history student who works in a museum. Fashion, shopping, and cooking are some of my biggest personal interests so blogging about them is something I do to relax and have fun in my free time.
How would you describe your style?
Feminine, sophisticated, confident. How I’ve come to dress is very much influenced by what I see around me in New York on a daily basis– there really is so much inspiration everywhere you look in the city.
Name the one beauty product you can’t live without.
I’ve used Clinique’s Superpowder Double Face Makeup for years. It’s like a powder/foundation/concealer all in one compact. I used to joke with the people at the sales counter that it’s the one cosmetic product I’d want with me if I was stranded on an island.
What gives you confidence?
I like to think that confidence comes from within– I’m a big believer of a “if you feel beautiful, you’ll look beautiful” mentality. That being said, I am always thrilled when someone compliments my outfit, handbags, or shoes. It’s also an amazing feeling when I cook something to serve to my family and friends and everyone really enjoys what I’ve made. Small moments of positive energy make me the happiest and most proud.
What’s the one thing that would surprise people to learn about you?
Most people think I’m a lot more extroverted than I really am. While I really love dressing up for meetings and events, I’m probably most happy when I’m at home relaxing in my comfiest clothes.
