Last night, we had the pleasure of attending the signing party for The Boudoir Bible, a new book by author Betony Vernon. The party was hosted by none other than Marc Jacob’s Bookmarc on Melrose Place.

We first read about Betony in the new, “Women Who Rock” issue of Galore magazine. A writer and jewelry designer who resides in Paris and Milan, Betony’s mission is to “empower women and men to enjoy and share greater pleasure.”

Along with whimsical illustrations by François Berthoud, whose signature work has also been featured in Prada ad campaigns, The Boudoir Bible celebrates a free-spirited and joyful take on sexuality.

Both Vernon–bedecked in a brilliant fuchsia dress and her own jewelry–and Berthoud were signing books for the chic West Hollywood crowd. The champagne flowed while guests mingled, browsed the store and Belle du Jour played on the flat-screen tv.

It’s the last day of our Black Lingerie Celebration–can you believe it? It’s been a whirlwind, but we’ve had such a blast, and we hope you have, too. And we thought we’d really go out big with the final installment in our Black Lingerie Blogger Challenge! Just to remind you, we asked three of the West Coast’s blogging superstars to use their incredible style sense to create amazing looks with some of our key pieces. The results were more spectacular than we could have imagined!

BFF’s Leah Ashley and Mary Darling created Fabulous on a Budget while they were both students at the Los Angeles Fashion Institute. The girls firmly believe that everyone can live “La Dolce Vita on a Dime,” and set out to spread their message to the fashion world.
